BROOKLYN PHOTOS

Then it hit me. Hey, I bet that Brooklyn (which I rarely visit) hosts some
pretty good flora outside the Garden, I took out my camera, and started to look around. . .

As you can see, I was right.

Check out these beauties . . . .

. . . and these . . . .

. . . and the host of flora surrounding this familiar NYC prop.

We then looked for floral displays adjacent to buildings. . . .

. . . and on the streets where people live . . . .

. . . and even in unexpected locations.
Enough of flowers. Let’s see what else Brooklyn offers. How about this handsome fire escape . . . .

Then some interesting structures swung into view . . . .

. . . and more of the same . . .
. . . culminating in this striking statue/lamppost duo.

Further into the heart of Brooklyn, we came across its impressive sports and entertainment nexus, Barclay’s Center.

A quick shot in the park – and then to a restaurant that Gent advised serves some of the best pizza around (which I confirmed by taste).

Here’s some Brooklynese language we encountered.

Hey, look at these fearless guys hanging from the skyscraper.

Now we’re heading back to Manhattan . . .

. . . via the Brooklyn Bridge, en route to the home borough.
One Tuesday this spring, my buddy Gent and I headed out to Brooklyn for a viewing of the fabulous cherry blossom display at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. But when we arrived, we were stunned to discover that the Garden was closed for the day. On a Tuesday??!! What to do?
